Thanksgiving Cranberry Cream Cheese Salad

This Thanksgiving Cranberry Cream Cheese Salad is perfect for your holiday dinner, especially if your guests maybe don’t like for cranberry sauce, this adds something deliciously different!

1 6 oz. package cherry jello

2 cups boiling water

2 large golden delicious apples, peeled and shredded

1 cup chopped pecans

1 can whole cranberry sauce or homemade

Topping:

1 8 oz. package cream cheese, at room temperature

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained well

6-8 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed or homemade

1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans

Dissolve jello in boiling water, stir to mix. Set aside to cool.

Add apples, pecans and cranberry sauce. Place in a 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish and chill until firm.

Blend cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in crushed pineapple. Add vanilla to whipped topping and stir with a spoon. Gradually add whipped topping to cream cheese/pineapple mixture.

Spread evenly over firm Jello mixture. Sprinkle with toasted pecans. Chill until serving time.
