Rum Balls

Rum Balls are a traditional Christmas candy. Try rolling half in powdered sugar and the other half in crushed vanilla wafers for a decorative appearance on your candy platter.

2 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers (about 75)

1 cup ground pecans

1 cup powdered sugar

2 Tbsp. + 2 tsp. baking cocoa

1/4 cup rum

3 Tbsp. honey

2 Tbsp. water

additional powdered sugar and crushed vanilla wafers

In a large bowl, combine wafer crumbs, pecans, powdered sugar and cocoa.

Combine rum, honey and water, stir into crumb mixture.

Shape mixture into 1 inch balls.

Roll in additional powdered sugar and wafer crumbs as desired.

Store in an airtight container.

Makes 3 1/2 dozen
