Quick Pizza Dough

Quick Pizza Dough is a great recipe to have on hand, if you don’t need the whole recipe, it freezes perfectly for another time!

2 1/4 oz. packets dry active yeast

2  Tbsp. sugar

1/4 cup olive oil + more for bowl and brushing

2 tsp. salt

4 cups all-purpose flour + more for work surface

Pour 1-1/2 cups warm water into a large bowl, sprinkle with yeast and let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes. Whisk sugar, oil and salt into yeast and water. Add flour and stir until a sticky dough forms. Transfer dough to an oiled bowl and brush top with oil. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and set in a warm place until dough has doubled in size, about 1 hour. Turn dough onto a lightly floured work surface and gently knead 1-2 times. Roll out in a circle or rectangle, depending on size and shape of pan.

You can wrap the dough in plastic and place in a zip-lock freezer bag for up to 3 months. This works great if you only need half of the recipe.
