One Skillet Sloppy Joe Cornbread Casserole makes a sweet and savory meal perfect for dinner tonight, give this one a try!

1 lb. lean ground beef

1/2 onion, diced

1/2 green bell pepper, diced

1 15 oz. can sloppy joe sauce or homemade

1 7 oz. yellow cornbread muffin mix

1/2 cup milk

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Heat an oven safe skillet on the stove over medium high heat. Cook the ground beef, onion and green pepper until the beef is cooked through and no longer pink. Drain any fat. Stir in sloppy joe sauce or make the homemade, simmer for 2-3 minutes and remove from heat.

In a small bowl, whisk the cornbread muffin mix with milk and egg, stir in cheese. Pour over the top of the sloppy joe mix.

Bake 15-20 minutes or until cornbread is lightly browned and cornbread is cooked through. Serve with Sweet Pasta Salad, if desired.
