Old Fashioned Scalloped Potatoes

Old Fashioned Scalloped Potatoes will bring back memories from home or grandmas house, it is such a simple recipe to make and tastes delicious with roasted or grilled meat.

4 large potatoes

2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

salt and pepper

grated nutmeg

2 Tbsp. finely minced fresh parsley

1/4 cup butter

1 1/4 cups milk

1/8 tsp. paprika

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Peel potatoes and slice.

Grease a 11 x 8 inch rectangular baking dish.

Arrange some of the potato slices on the bottom. Sprinkle very lightly with a bit of the flour. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste, then sprinkle on some of the parsley.

Repeat, making 2-3 more layers.

Meanwhile, heat the butter and milk together in a small saucepan over low heat.

Pour over the potatoes. Top with paprika.

Bake, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or until a golden brown crust forms on top and the potatoes are tender. Serve with Savory Roasted Chicken.
