Meatballs in Sauce

Make these Meatballs in Sauce, just add pasta of choice for a delicious family meal!

1 lb. lean ground beef

1/2 cup dried bread crumbs

1 clove garlic, minced

2 Tbsp. minced parsley

1 Tbsp. basil, crumbled

1 egg, lightly beaten

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

2 Tbsp. oil

4 cups Italian Tomato Sauce-recipe here

1/2 lb. Parmesan cheese, grated

Combine beef, bread crumbs, garlic, parsley, basil, egg, salt and pepper.

Mix thoroughly and shape into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

Melt the oil in a large saucepan. Brown the meatballs lightly on all sides, drain off the fat.

Add Italian tomato sauce, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.

Serve over spaghetti or pasta of choice.

Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and Homemade Garlic Bread Sticks.
