Marshmallow Chocolate Chip Squares

Make these Marshmallow Chocolate Chip Squares for a delicious, chewy treat!

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/3 cup spreadable chocolate cream cheese or regular cream cheese

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup lightly packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp. vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup chopped milk chocolate + 1/4 cup for topping

1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows + 1/2 cup for topping

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat butter and cream cheese briefly to combine.

Add both sugars, eggs and vanilla and beat 3-4 minutes until pale and very creamy.

Add flour and salt to bowl and mix just to combine. Stir in chocolate chunks and marshmallows.

Put batter into prepared pan and spread it out as smooth as possible.

Stick remaining chocolate chunks and marshmallows randomly into dough.

Bake 22-24 minutes, or until bars are just golden and just set in middle-do not over bake.

Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
