Maple Raisin Walnut Spread

Maple Raisin Walnut Spread makes a flavor filled cream to spread on warm toast or bagels.

8 oz. package cream cheese, softened

1 Tbsp.  chopped walnuts

1 Tbsp. raisins

1 tsp. water

3 1/2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar

1/8 tsp. maple extract

1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Whip cream cheese until smooth, set aside.

Grind walnuts coarsely in a food processor or blender and set aside.

Place raisins and water in food processor, chop into small pieces.

Combine raisin mixture and one teaspoon walnuts with cream cheese, mix well.

Add remaining walnuts, brown sugar, extract and cinnamon, mix well, cover and chill until firm.

Makes about 1 cup
