Green Chile Tater Tot Casserole

Try this Green Chile Tater Tot Casserole for a family pleasing meal to enjoy!

1 lb. lean ground beef

1 cup chopped onion

2 cans (4.5 oz.) each chopped green chilies

1 can (10.5) condensed cheddar cheese soup

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 tsp. salt

1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 bag (32 oz.) frozen tater tots

2 Tbsp. sliced green onions

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.

In a ten inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat 8-9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown, drain.

Reduce heat to medium, stir in chilies, soup, sour cream and salt until well blended.

Place half of the tater tots in a single layer on bottom of baking dish. Pour beef mixture on top.

Top with 1 cup of cheddar cheese, then remaining tater tots and then with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.

Bake 45-55 minutes or until casserole is bubbly and tater tots are lightly browned. Top with green onions.
