Elvis Presley Cake

This Elvis Presley Cake is so simple to make, it will be your new family favorite dessert!

1 package white cake mix

8 oz. can crushed pineapple

1 cup sugar

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

8 oz. package cream cheese, at room temperature

1/2 cup butter, softened

3 cups powdered sugar

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

3 cups crushed pecans

Bake white cake according to package directions. Cool and poke holes in cake.

In a saucepan, boil crushed pineapple with juice and 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla for a few minutes. Pour over the cooled cake.

In a large mixing bowl mix cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar. Add vanilla and 2 cups crushed pecans, mix together until creamy.

Spread frosting on cake and top with 1 cup crushed pecans.

Let cake set overnight or at least 6 hours before serving. Refrigerate any leftovers.
