Creamy Chocolate Frosting

This Creamy Chocolate Frosting is smooth, shiny, sweet and thick. Use it for anything you want to frost!

2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, grated

1 cup sugar

3 Tbsp. cornstarch

1 cup boiling water

1 Tbsp. butter

1 tsp. vanilla

1/8 tsp. salt

Combine the chocolate, sugar and cornstarch in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.

Stir in the boiling water and cook over medium heat about 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.

Remove from the heat and add butter, vanilla and salt. Beat well.

You will have enough frosting to fill and frost an 8 or 9 inch two layer cake.

Makes about 2 cups
