Creamed Peas

Creamed Peas are a  quick and easy way to add a vegetable with any meal.

1-10 oz. package frozen peas

1 Tbsp. butter

1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp. sugar

Cook peas according to package directions.

In a small saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually add milk and sugar. Bring to a boil, cook and stir about 1-2 minutes or until thickened.

Drain peas and gently stir into sauce and heat through.

Serves 3-4
