Creamed Cabbage

This Creamed Cabbage recipe makes a great side for any meal and is quick and easy to prepare! Will make a great addition to your St. Patrick’s Day menu.

4 slices bacon

1/4 cup butter

1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

1 tsp. salt

1 large head cabbage, cored and shredded

1/2 cup sour cream

Place bacon in a large, deep skillet and cook over medium-high heat. Turning occasionally until evenly browned. Remove bacon slices to cool.

Whisk butter, flour and salt into the drippings in same pan. Stir in cabbage and cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until cabbage is tender.

Crumble the bacon and stir into cabbage mixture, add the sour cream, stirring to combine. Serve warm.
