Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

This Chocolate Buttercream Frosting is easy to prepare and unbelievably good!

2/3 cup Ghiradelli cocoa, unsweetened

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup butter

pinch of salt

1 tsp. vanilla extract

4 cups powdered sugar

Heat heavy whipping cream in a small saucepan to boiling. Add cocoa to your mixing bowl and pour hot cream over. Stir well to blend. Let cool.

Add butter, a tablespoon at a time, mixing after each  addition. Add vanilla and salt.

Add powdered sugar and whip until desired consistency is reached, about 5 minutes.

Frost cakes, cupcakes or anything that needs frosting.
