Choco-Caramel Crunch Bars

Make these Choco-Caramel Crunch Bars for a delicious, quick treat!

Base:

1 package German chocolate cake mix

1/3 cup butter, softened

1 egg

Topping:

6 oz. package semisweet chocolate chips

3/4 cup caramel sauce

3 Tbsp. flour

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, combine cake mix, butter and egg at low speed with electric mixer, until crumbly.

Reserve 1 cup of crumbs for topping.

Press remaining crumb mixture into prepared pan.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until base is slightly puffy. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.

Combine caramel and flour and pour over nuts.

Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.

Bake 10-20 minutes or until chocolate chips are melted and caramel topping begins to bubble. Cool completely.

Cut into 36 bars.
