Caramely Almond Butter Bars

These Caramely Almond Butter Bars are just delicious!

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. almond extract

2 cups flour

1 12 oz. package Rolos candy, unwrapped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

Add egg, salt and almond extract, beat well, scraping down sides.

Add flour and beat until almost incorporated. Add the rolos.

Mix briefly with mixer or fold them in with a wooden spoon, being careful not to over mix.

Press into the prepared pan. Bake 22-24 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

Cut into small squares.
