Beef Lo Mein

Make this delicious Beef Lo Mein for dinner tonight, it only takes 30 minutes!

8 oz. spaghetti noodles, cooked

1 tsp. sesame oil

1/4 cup hot boiled water

1 Tbsp. beef bouillon

3 Tbsp. soy sauce

2 Tbsp. brown sugar

sesame oil for frying

1 lb. flank steak or leftover roast beef

2 large carrots

2 cups broccoli

1 large onion

4 cloves garlic, minced

In a saucepan, add the hot boiled water, bullion and brown sugar, stir to dissolve. Add soy sauce and set aside.

Dice carrots, broccoli and onion into two inch pieces. Slice beef into thin strips.

Heat a skillet with sesame oil and cook the beef until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Using the same skillet, add more oil if needed, saute onions until golden brown and remove from skillet.

Saute carrots until softened, add broccoli and cook about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook about 1 minute longer.

Add the beef back to skillet with the vegetables. Pour the sauce ingredients over and let simmer about 2 minutes.

Add the cooked noodles and toss together.

Serve while still hot with Homemade Egg Rolls, if desired.
