Award Winning Ham Casserole

This Award Winning Ham Casserole will be your family’s new favorite!

1 1/2 lbs. yams, boiled, peeled and sliced 3/4 inch thick and divided

2 cups cooked ham, chopped

1 1/2 cup golden delicious apples, peeled, cored, sliced and divided

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. paprika

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

2 Tbsp. bourbon or apple juice

2 Tbsp. butter

Arrange half of the yams in a greased 2 quart round casserole dish, set aside.

Layer ham evenly over yams, then layer apples evenly over ham.

Arrange remaining yams over apples, sprinkle with salt and paprika. Set aside.

Combine brown sugar and bourbon, sprinkle evenly over ingredients in casserole dish. Dot with butter.

Bake, covered, for 20 minutes. Baste with pan juices, bake, uncovered for 25 more minutes.

Baste and serve.
