Apple Butter Snickerdoodles

Apple Butter Snickerdoodles are easy delicious soft cookies to make, try this one!

3 cups all purpose flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. cream of tartar

1/2 tsp. salt

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

1/2 cup apple butter

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Topping:

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

Whisk together flour, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt in a medium bowl, set aside.

Cream together butter and sugar in a mixer until fluffy. Mix in eggs, vanilla 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and apple butter.

Beat just to mix. Add in the flour mixture and mix just to blend. Chill dough for at least 4 hours. (don’t skip the chilling step)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

To prepare Topping: Place cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl, mix to combine.

Scoop balls of dough (about 2 Tablespoons) and roll into cinnamon and sugar.

Place on prepared baking sheet. Bake cookies for 12-14 minutes.

Cool slightly  before removing from baking sheets.

Makes 28 cookies
